Davis-Harrington Welcome Center - Springfield, MO
The Davis-Harrington Welcome Center - Springfield, MO, designed by Dake Wells Architecture integrates a mix of materials in response to the campus context.
Behind limestone cladding, the rear ground-floor spaces are mostly hidden, while the north facade gradually increases transparency, culminating in a tapered glass curtain wall at the main entrance. Swisspearl Largo Carat Ivory 7090 panels create a sleek finish on the fully glazed upper sections of the east and west facades, with the latter extending slightly beyond the building's corner, offering a welcoming touch.
Thinking about customizing your Swisspearl Facade? Both 8mm & 12mm panels can be perforated (up to 18% open area) or engraved with logos, graphics, and artwork—but an early technical review is required to ensure feasibility. Proper anchor placement is crucial for structural integrity when installing these customized panels and our technical team can help support with sub-framing design requirements. Plus, select series like Carat, Nobilis, Terra, Planea, and Zenor are available with double-sided finishes for even more design flexibility.
Drawing inspiration from a composition booklet pattern, circular perforations on the facades filter dappled light into the atrium and provide scenic views from the second-floor walkway.
