Craig-Lee Hall - Rhode Island College - Providence, RI

Rhode Island College Craig-Lee Hall addition was designed by LLB Architects. Swisspearl® fiber cement rainscreen panels were selected as a design feature for the entrance and also along the rooftop, where slat fiber cement panels were used to cover HVAC systems.  

The fiber cement slats created a modern facade that integrated easily with the brick masonry on the elevations.  The ease at which Swisspearl's large panels are able to be fabricated into smaller pieces made it easy to create the right panel sizes for the scale of this project. The grey panels acted as link between various building additions. Terra5 Terracotta Baguettes were also utilized in the overall facade, providing natural thermal comfort for the interior while still letting in needed natural light.
