Ceramic5 Selected for National Medal of Honor Museum
We are excited to share that Ceramic5 by Cladding Corp has been selected for the prestigious National Medal of Honor Museum, a landmark project in the heart of the Arlington Entertainment District in Arlington, TX.
Designed by the renowned Rafael Vinoly Architects in collaboration with BYSP Architects, the museum's architecture pays tribute to the sacrifice and heroism of Medal of Honor recipients. The use of Ceramic5's metal series, featuring Corten GC21 and Indio Blue LY07 tiles, adds a durable, captivating finish that enhances the building's aesthetic appeal.
Central to the museum is the 130,000-square-foot Exhibition Hall, a monumental structure suspended 40 feet above ground, supported by five massive concrete megacolumns representing the U.S. Armed Forces branches. Clad with metal panels, the exterior exudes strength and resilience. The large-format Ceramic5 tiles complement the industrial yet refined appearance, offering exceptional performance and timeless elegance.
Set for a grand opening in 2025, the Museum complex includes a sunken Rotunda of Honor as the public entrance and features a conical oculus that brings natural light into the space below. Surrounding facilities like the Leadership Institute, Theater, Education Center, and Great Hall are seamlessly integrated with green roofs and pedestrian pathways. The Ceramic5 cladding adds a contemporary touch to the building, honoring the enduring legacy of service.
The launch event will be attended by all living U.S. presidents, underscoring the museum's significance as a national treasure and a powerful venue for storytelling, education, and reflection.
